| Description | The series consists of miscellaneous personal correspondence from Scharf's friends and acquaintances.
The letters mostly relate to personal matters, however they also include information on travels, places visited by senders, persons met and occasionally works of art seen.
The correspondence has been arranged alphabetically, by name of sender.
Part of the series containing correspondence and notes[NPG7/3/5/2/1-4] has been purchased from an auction house in 1950 and therefore forms a seperate sub-series. |
