DescriptionSet of entries titled 'miniature pictures painted in 1795 being the first year of my painting them'. A list dated 1796 directly follows the first. When writing his study of Beechey in 1907, William Roberts said that this account book 'was apparently utilised by Lady Beechey as well as by her husband, and she has there made a list of the miniatures which she painted in 1795-1796, with the prices which she received for them'.

These entries therefore relate to works created and sold by Lady Beechey. Each entry records client and/or sitter name and amount paid. There are columns for money in pounds [l]; shillings [s] and pence [d]. The running total for money is given at the bottom of each page and carried over to the next.
