The portrait is due to reach Lancaster soon and a new drapery has been added to the portrait which Romney hopes will be to the recipient’s liking. He notes that he has taken the liberty to add an account of the picture and asks that it be paid soon as he plans on leaving the Kingdom in about three weeks.
Ther are a few faint pen scratches beneath the letter, ad the lower half of text has been smudged.
