Description | Two three-quarter length ink sketches of a seated woman. In the top sketch the seated figure has a slightly down-turned face with one arm across her body, while in the lower sketch she looks straight ahead of her with her hands in her lap. Both these sketches feature dramatic shadow either behind or infront of the seated figure.
The top left of this page features some ink marks and a light offprint of the sketch from Folio 20 verso.
The sitter in these portraits resembles Miss Kirkpatrick, an undated portrait of whom is presumed to be from the early 1770s.
