Watts writes that a series of colds have stopped him from being in his studio and so Nassau Senior's nephew has not begun work; Watts writes that her nephew has brought him some copies, but that as the copies were flat and the originals bad, that it was impossible to judge whether he has more than a correct eye so as to become an artist; Watts writes that he instructed him to draw his sister's hand, and an ornamental object so as practice and since seeing the results writes that he is satisfied of his natural gifts; Watts asks that Nassau Senior send him the casts of heads and hands to his studio so they can be used as practice; Watts hopes that Nassau Senior is recovering and asks for her son Walter to ask for the Hayden compositions for piano and violin.
