Description | Typescript copy of letter.
Watts thanks Taylor for the time taken over his request and writes that the medium used for the preparation of the canvases is exactly what he wants if it can be made by the introduction of some elastic property which will render it safe from cracking and detaching, but if it cannot sustain repeated applications it will not be useful, not like the medium prepared for him in Florence in 1846 and 1847 with which he painted.
