DescriptionTaylor writes that he has enquired over Watts' canvases and reports that they will be finished and sent on Friday afternoon; Taylor writes that they do not keep the solid colours at Kentish Town so he has written to Rathbone Place to order sticks of the 'Earths'; Taylor writes that there is no way of making the 'Vandyke Brown' a safe colour to use; Taylor writes in reply to Watts' doubts of the 'Verona Brown' colour, writing that in his experience it is 'absolutely unchangeable' and writes that possibly colour makers other than Winsor and Newton may employ a fugitive pigment in the mixture and call it 'Verona Brown'.
