Watts writes that he has not received the canvases he requested for the trial of the solid colours; Watts writes that he has heard doubts regarding the 'trustworthiness of Verona Brown' and would be saddened if this were true as it is a colour he finds useful; Watts asks if there is a way of preparing 'Vandyke Brown' to make it safe for use; Watts requests all the 'Earths' colours in solid colours.
