DescriptionTaylor explains that he has not answered Watts letters from last week due to a severe cold and the extra work placed upon him due to the death of Mr Newton the previous week; Taylor writes that he does not know anything about 'Hease and Brandt's Tempera Colours', and Winsor and Newton cannot produce any information about them, but as soon as he finds information about them he will be in a better position to offer his opinion, although does write that he disagrees with commercial tempera colours, believing that the artist should create them himself; Taylor seeks confirmation that the last canvas sent was satisfactory.
